Maui, day 2

Last night we ate at a local place in Kihei called Life’s A Beach.  It was somewhat of a typical sports bar, but with a vibe that you would expect to see in a beach town.  This was the first place we’d visited that had good prices on food and drinks, and a real happy hour.  Emily had a $2 Mai Tai and I got a draft of a local beer called Kona Lager.  The Kona Lageer was good, but I prefer the beer I had at lunch, which is called Big Wave Golden Ale, whichg is also brewed by the Kona Brewing Co.

Today we drove to Lahaina and aate lunch at a place called Lahaina Mai Tai Lounge.  It overlookedd the ocean wwith a fantastic viiew of the water and several sail boats.  It wasn’t crowded at all and the food was very good, but once again expensive.  You can’t really get away from high-priced food in Hawaii.

Tonight we are eating at Coconut’s Fish Cafe, again in Kihai.  Tomorrow we plan to dive up the coast to Hana
