Underworld: Awakening

Just finished this movie, and it was a GREAT addition to the series!

I don’t want to give away too many spoilers for the movie, but it remains consistent to the storyline of the original 2 movies.  The 3rd movie, being a prequel, also fits nicely into the franchise.  This 4th installment left the door wide open for a 5th installment as well.  I’m not saying who dies and who remains alive for the next movie, but I don’t think any fan of these movies will be disappointed.

The only disappointing this about this movie is that Michael Corvin is played by a different actor than Scott Speedman.  Again, I don’t want to spoil too much, but Michael isn’t in very many scenes in this movie, so it didn’t make a large difference, but if they plan to have Michael appear in the next installment, I certainly hope that Scott Speedman accepts the role.

If you enjoyed the first 3 movies, you will like this one also.  Its a good addition.

Must-See Movies for 2012

http://www.imdb.com/list/07OWB4XH4h8/

Here is a good list of upcoming movies for 2012.  Among my top ones to see will be Underworld, The Avengers and The Expendables 2.  There are a few of them on this list that I am not familiar with, but reading the reviews on them made them sound interesting.  Of course The Dark Knight Rises is going to be another great hit, I’m sure.  I am not looking forward to The Amazing Spiderman.  I don’t see the point in making another Spiderman origins movie so soon after the big hit starring Tobey Maguire.  It seems to me like they should be making a 4th movie to the series as a continuation, not starting over again.  Fail.
